Trails of the Wind

Slot canyons of the West are overwhelming to photograph. A gift of nature-of water, wind, sand. How can rock be as fluid as silk. I see roses, stems, blossoms all within these rocky fissures, splits and ruptures. Striated rock faces like liquid. So soft and strong.

Starry Starry Nights

The Western night sky exposes just how small we are on Earth. The Milky Way dazzles and the air glow radiates colors we cannot believe we are seeing. They cannot be real. They are. We are such a tiny participant within this universe.

Trees

2500 years and counting - Baobab trees store up to 32,000 gallons in their trunks. Majestic doesn’t get close.

Crazy to think this peek into the galactic is painted backwards. The only celestial body painted correctly is Orion. Vanderbilts, who built Grand Central said it was done that way ‘as if God was looking down into GCT.’
